- Aquatics Centre
- Preparatory work has begun on the site of the Aquatics Centre in east London. The facility will include two 50m swimming pools and a 25m diving pool.
Address: The Aquatics Centre will be adjacent to the Stratford City development in the south east corner of the new Olympic Park, within easy walking distance of the main Olympic Stadium.
- Broxbourne
- A new Canoe Slalom course will be built at Broxbourne, using the waters of the River Lea to provide a physical link to the Olympic Park in the Lower Lea Valley.
Address: Broxbourne sits on the edge of the 1000-acre Lea Valley Country Park in Hertfordshire, just outside the M25 motorway, and directly linked to the proposed Olympic Park by the water of the River Lea.
- Earls Court
- Earls Court is an iconic London venue. It is venue of choice for a variety of events from exhibitions and conferences to live music and hosts hundreds of events each year attended by visitors from around the world.
Address: Earls Court is situated in west London and first opened its doors in 1937, at the time providing an unprecedented 40,000 square metre of exhibition space.
- Eton Dorney
- The Eton College Rowing Centre at Dorney Lake will host the the World Championships in 2006, marking the culmination of a 10-year project to develop an international class facility. Eton Dorney will host the Rowing and Canoe/Kayak (flatwater) competitions in 2012.
Address: Eton Dorney enjoys a spectacular location beneath the ramparts of Windsor Castle, approximately 25 miles west of London.
- ExCeL London
- Covering a staggering 100 acres, the huge ExCeL London building has quickly established itself as a major venue for conferences, conventions and events. The site hosts hundreds of events each year, and is perhaps best-known as the venue for the hugely-successful London Triathlon.
Address: ExCeL London is situated adjacent to London City Airport in east London's historic Royal Victoria Dock, which was finally closed in 1981. Construction on the building started in 1998 and ExCeL London opened its doors in November 2000, completing one of Europe's largest regeneration projects.
- Greenwich Arena
- The Greenwich Arena will host Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastic events in a purpose-built temporary facility adjacent to The Dome.
Address: A temporary facility that will be constructed specifically for the Games, the Greenwich Arena will be adjacent to The Dome at the tip of the Greenwich peninsula opposite the mouth of the River Lea.
- Greenwich Park
- Greenwich Park is London's oldest Royal Park, dating back to 1433. The home of Greenwich Mean Time since the International Meridien Conference of 1884, the Park houses the Royal Observatory and the grand buildings of the National Maritime Museum.
Address: Greenwich Park lines the south bank of the River Thames in east London. The Park climbs up from the River to the Royal Observatory at the top of the hill, where visitors can enjoy spectacular views of central London and the Docklands development.

- Though Hampden Park is best-known as the home of the Scottish Football, the ground is actually owned by Queen's Park FC, an amateur club that is currently playing in the Third Division of the Bells Scottish Football League.
Address: Hampden Park is situated a few miles to the south of Glasgow city centre, with easy access to the city, the motorway network and to Glasgow Airport.

- The new Hockey Centre would comprise two separate stadia, providing facilities suitable for every contest in the Hockey Tournament.

- Horse Guards Parade
- Horse Guards Parade dates from 1745 and takes its name from the soldiers who have provided protection for the monarch since the restoration of the monarchy in 1660. The parade ground lies at the heart of London's ceremonial life, and hosts the Trooping of the Colour event that takes place on the Queen's official birthday each year.
Address: Horse Guards Parade lies at the heart of Whitehall, the political centre of the UK. Just a stone's throw from Downing Street and a gentle stroll across the St James' Park from Buckingham Palace, this historic and beautiful location would provide a unique background for Olympic sport.
